We are excited to announce a new feature functionality within JobPts, our Employee Recognition and Rewards Software.Β

Earn PointsΒ is a feature that enables companies to extend their recognition efforts, make them more fun and get higher ROI on their employee recognition initiatives.Β

Introducing the “Earn Points” Feature

Often times, organizations have standard employee recognition and rewards programs in place while neglecting some employee actions that also deserve attention and appreciation.

To enable employers to create additional recognition campaigns for those actions and specific employee behaviors, we have added a new feature called Earn Points πŸ†

How Does the “Earn Points” Functionality Work

Think of Earn Points as an option for employees to collectΒ their points by participating in a designated employee recognition campaign or a recognition program.

Setting up such campaigns is very straight forward, yet results can be extremely satisfying as employers can target very specific actions or behaviors from their employees.

πŸ’‘ This is how it works (example of a campaign):

  1. Set a campaign for a behavior or action that you would like to enforce in the company. For example: Health Award
  2. Announce the campaign and inform your employees that they will receive 50 points if they walk more than 50.000 steps per week.
  3. Once the employee achieves the goal, he or she can make submission for the earned points.
  4. The manager then reviews the submission and approves or rejects the award.

Pretty simple isn’t it? 😊

When creating Earn Points campaigns, think of the final outcomes you are trying to achieve.

Here are a few examples of how you can enable employees to receive points using the Earn Points feature:

πŸ… Earn points for referring a candidate

The best way to encourage employees to help you in your talent acquisition efforts is by rewarding them to do so. We all know that referrals are the best sources of new hires and that the cost of advertising job openings can be very high.

With Earn Points, you can easily set up a campaign in which employees can collect by referring a high-quality job candidates.

πŸ… Earn points for a Glassdoor review

Improving Employer Branding is one of the most underused benefits of employee recognition programs.

Set up an Earn Points campaign in which employees can get rewarded by providing their honest feedback on review sites such as Glassdoor.

πŸ… Earn points for getting tested for COVID-19

Use the power of employee recognition to encourage your employees stay safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the return to workplaces, it is extremely important to identify if any of the employees have been infected with COVID-19.

Create a “Test for COVID-19 Award” and recognize those who take the test.

πŸ… Earn points for practicing healthy habits

As mentioned earlier, you can create Earn Points campaigns to encourage and support employees for practicing healthy lifestyles.

Besides just appointing a certain amount of steps to walk, you could, for example, award them for participating in a local running event or similar.

πŸ… Earn points for being an ambassador

Having brand ambassadors who participate in social selling activities can be a powerful way to increase brand awareness and sales.

However, you need to incentivize your employees to engage in such activities. Earn Points functionality is a perfect fit for such campaigns.

For example, your employees could earn points by sharing company’s posts on Social Media 3 times a week.

πŸ… Earn points for closing a deal

This one is a no-brainer! Motivate your sales teams even more by allowing them to earn extra points for closing a new deal.

πŸ… Earn points for a good customer support

If you are collecting feedback from your customers about their satisfaction with your customer support and success teams, use this data to reward your biggest customer lovers.

Give your employees an opportunity to earn points by always putting the customers first.

πŸ… Earn points for participating or speaking at an event

Many companies are trying to encourage their employees, especially managers, to build their personal brands by sharing their expertise with the wider audience.

Not only that this increases a company’s awareness, but it also eases talent acquisition efforts and proves the company’s credibility.

Using the Earn Points functionality, your employees can now receive points by participating at such events.

πŸ… Earn points for learning and development

Today, many companies are facing significant skill gaps, and this trend will continue to grow in the future.

In order to make reskilling and learning faster and easier, you could introduce aΒ “Skill-Up and Earn Points” campaign in which employees can earn points by attending a conference, a course or an online education.

πŸ… Earn points for volunteering

There are organizations that love to volunteer. However, it can be hard to encourage employees to participate at events as volunteers.

However, by introducing a simple Earn Points campaign, you can boost your employees’ motivation for volunteering.

As you can see…only sky is the limit when it comes to being creative with your Earn Points campaigns!
