Webinar Recap: How AI Innovations in SAP SuccessFactors Are Redefining Recognition and Retention

Author: Marko Anakievski Last updated: November 6, 2025 Reading time: 4 minutes

Artificial intelligence is no longer a distant concept in HR. It’s now embedded in how organizations recognize, reward, and retain their people.

In this on-demand session, leaders from SAP, Semos Cloud, and Al-Futtaim Technologies explored how AI-powered integrations inside SAP SuccessFactors are transforming the employee experience across the Middle East and Africa. The discussion combined strategy, customer insights, and live product demonstrations that showed how AI is making recognition more meaningful, communication more human, and value more visible.

See how SAP and Semos Cloud are using AI innovations to connect recognition, rewards, and transparency into one seamless employee experience.

AI That Elevates Recognition and Connection

Waqar Wajid, Head of Business Transformation at Al-Futtaim Technologies, shared how the company reimagined recognition through SAP SuccessFactors and Semos Cloud. Instead of using standalone tools, Al-Futtaim embedded recognition directly into the flow of work where employees already collaborate and engage daily.

The result was a cultural shift powered by intelligent automation: more peer-to-peer recognition, stronger participation across teams, and measurable improvements in engagement.

Transformation doesn’t come from adding new apps, ot comes from connecting recognition to everyday work and values.

AI That Writes With Empathy

Semos Cloud showcased two of its latest AI advancements: the Message Quality Indicator (MQI) and the Write-It-For-Me Assistant

Both tools use SAP’s Generative AI capabilities to help employees craft recognition messages that feel personal and authentic. The AI analyzes clarity, tone, and context, guiding users to express appreciation in ways that strengthen culture.

Rather than automating gratitude, these features coach employees to communicate it better, proving that AI can amplify empathy instead of replacing it.

Recognition in the Flow of Work: SAP Joule Integration

One of the most anticipated parts of the webinar was the demonstration of SAP Joule, SAP’s generative AI assistant.

Semos Cloud became the first SAP Spotlight Partner to integrate recognition directly into Joule. Employees can recognize colleagues, link recognitions to company values, and share appreciation all within their SAP workspace, with no additional apps or logins.

This represents a milestone in how AI bridges experience and execution, bringing recognition into the natural flow of daily work.

Total Rewards Hub: Making Employee Value Visible

Beyond recognition, the session highlighted how AI and integration are helping HR leaders bring total rewards transparency to life.

The Semos Cloud Total Rewards Hub, built on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), allows employees to see every component of their compensation and benefits in a single, interactive experience.

AI personalization and communication tools help HR teams move beyond static dashboards, turning complex data into clear, engaging stories that employees understand and trust. As our Solution Advisor Kristijan Manasievski said,

Visibility builds connection. When employees can see their total value, it changes how they feel about work.

Total Rewards Co-Pilot: Conversational AI for HR Data

The Total Rewards Co-Pilot represents the next leap in AI-driven transparency.

Using retrieval-augmented AI, the Co-Pilot enables employees to ask natural questions like “What’s my annual bonus projection?” or “Am I eligible for a new benefit?”  and receive accurate, plain-language responses in real time.

This AI assistant doesn’t just surface data; it interprets it, transforming HR information into personalized insights that make work simpler and more human.

Human-Centered AI: SAP’s Closing Message

Muhammad Naeem, SAP Software Partner Business Director for the MEA Region, wrapped up the session by reinforcing the purpose behind these innovations.

Technology, he said, should serve as an enabler of human connection.

Through SAP’s collaboration with Semos Cloud, AI is now enhancing trust, visibility, and inclusion across organizations, helping leaders design employee experiences that are both intelligent and empathetic.

A Note of Gratitude

We extend our thanks to Waqar WajidMuhammad Naeem, and the SAP MENA team for joining us in this discussion and for their continued collaboration throughout the MEA North webinar series.

Their insights and examples reminded us that innovation matters most when it helps people feel recognized, connected, and valued.

We’re proud to continue this partnership as we explore the next chapter of human-centered, AI-powered employee experience together.
